Configuration 101

Remember these great findings?

With the thanksgiving holiday behind us, its time to put together a configuration tray, inspired by Tim Holtz with all the awesome stuff I picked up on my antique excursion this fall.

Step One:  moving the boxes around and removing boxes to allow for more space to decorate.  (this is the easiest step)
Step Two:  the hardest step of all.....measuring each box for the cutting directions for the paper.....fractions, YUCK, who would of thought that 3rd grade math would come in so handy, what ever, I was counting little marks on my measuring stick, with my husband laughing in the back ground...before he stepped in and broke out his trusty contractor's calculator....lol
Step Three:  cut and score sample pieces of paper to insure they fit....and label each piece and the coordinating box.
Measurements:  Box 1   6  5/8  x  4  3/4
                           Box 2   3  7/8  x  3  7/8
                           Box 3   4  3/16  x  3  3/16
                           Box 4   5  1/16  x  4  3/16
                           Box 5   6  11/16  x  2  15/16
                           Box 6   3  7/8  x  2  15/16

Score all sides of each piece at  11/16

Step Four: pick your favorite paper, mine is Tim Holtz idea-ology (Paper Stash Seasonal Pack)
Step Six:  cut your favorite paper according to the guidelines and score.
WOW, look at all these really cool vintage Christmas papers in this packet.

Check back soon, for more details.

Christmas Photo Box

Before
and
After

This month is all about preparing for the holidays.  Each year I try to find something even more spectacular to do for those small but thoughtful hand made gifts for family and friends.
Several months back I found these cute clear photo boxes at my local Target store for a $1!  So I grab as many as I could, not knowing exactly what I was going to do with them.

While clean my room the other day, I came across the boxes and the idea hit me.  What a cute gift for that someone special, a new mom, and even my mom!

I've used CTMH Believe Level 2 Paper Packet (X7145B)
and

CTMH Christmas Love Stamp Set (D1492)
to create this cute holiday photo box.

Other stamp sets and products used are CTMH December 25th stamp set (C1469), olive, topiary, holiday red and cranberry inks were used.

Hope you enjoyed this project.

Halloween Preview

I for one certainly love a good time and a great laugh, who would of thought teeth could be the talk of an evening.  Mine were.....as guest arrived to the party everyone was greeted with this wonderful smiling face.  If you look close you can see I'm even wearing a rope belt that can double as dental floss and what about this really cool hillbilly wine glass (a treasure found in Bellbuckle, TN) its a mason jar adhered to a glass candle stick.  Yeehaw.  How about Mr. Dot's the Clown.

For your viewing pleasure here are more pics from the party.

See one of my puppies here, dressed as our little angels.
